Buenos Aires free vaccinate against chickenpox
The provincial health minister, Alejandro Collie, announced that the province of Buenos Aires became the first in the country to have the chickenpox vaccine, free and compulsory for all kids from 12 months living in Buenos Aires area. The vaccine is now available in more than 2000 VACUNATORIOS provincial centers.
"We are adding social equality, prevention of health in our children and access to a vaccine for everyone," said the minister Collia, during the official presentation of the vaccine that was made this afternoon in the Legislature of Buenos Aires, the area where this measure became law. From now on, the varicella vaccination is part of Provincial Immunization Schedule.

Collia Minister explained that they decided to incorporate the vaccine for free compulsory because "although chickenpox is not a highly aggressive disease, can lead to complications in young children, and also is very contagious."

Chickenpox
Chickenpox is a rash illness that, in rare cases, can cause respiratory complications such as pneumonia.
